NO THANKS: New Twitter CEO Once Pushed Elon Musk to Reinstate Orwellian ‘Influence Council’

Twitter owner Elon Musk’s newly appointed World Economic Forum-tied CEO for the platform recently tried to corner him into committing to reinstalling some of the same Orwellian censorship structures of the old regime. Gee, what a shocker (sarcasm).

Then-NBCUniversal Chair of Global Advertising Linda Yaccarino pressed Musk during an interview at the 2023 MMA Global POSSIBLE Miami Event on whether he would pledge to reinstate an “influence council” akin to the old censorship-obsessed regime. “So Twitter 1.0 had a very well-populated, much loved influence council,” Yaccarino mourned. She propped the “council” up as a supposedly necessary “recurring feedback loop from your key stakeholders — your advertisers — where they had recurring access or would have recurring access to you.” The kind of so-called “influence” Yaccarino pushed involved giving advertisers some control over Twitter’s “product development, ad safety” and — of course — “content moderation,” which is a cute euphemism for censorship.

My jury was out on Musk. It still is and this has made me lean toward him not being trustworthy. He has too many elitist influencers after him.

Let's see whether she embraces Tucker Carlson's efforts to use Twitter as his new platform (interim or not).

That would be a meaningful litmus test.

I have zip zero zilch participation with any social media but I think Musk comes off as being able hold his own. If he doesn’t, he’ll soon see an exodus of those who support his platform. He’s smart enough to know that. If not, guess it won’t be the first time we get disappointed...

Twitter needs a way to host smaller advertisers who would be harder to sway by the Woke.

Something like your corner diner or pizza place.

The things I read about the new twitter CEO are just unbelievable.

I can’t believe Elon hired this person.
The only explanation that makes sense is that he was blackmailed into hiring her.

I doubt it.

It would be a bad business move, bad PR move, and totally unnecessary for the benefit of either of them.

Yes, that would be the simplest and therefore the most plausible explanation.

He’s lost $22B in valuation and only slowly coming back to profitability.

The Left blackmails advertising corporations with orchestrated campaigns of lawfare, agitation and reputation smearing.

He’s being forced to cede some control so the $$$ can roll in.

“I can't believe Elon hired this person.”

What better way to get first hand ‘dirt’ (both legal
and illegal shenanigans? Makes scooping up evidence much
easier when they are in your tent. Bannon continues to
claim Elon is in the CCPs pocket. Wrong? Correct?
Like PDJT, Elon holds his cards close to his chest;
but the man certainly has plans.
