This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“ADM-160 MALD: AMERICA’S SECRET WEAPON TO ENGAGE AIR DEFENSES ISN’T A WEAPON AT ALL”
“The ADM-160 MALD, or Miniature Air-Launched Decoy, is exactly what its name suggests: a small vehicle that’s launched by aircraft, like a cruise missile, that can mimic the radar returns of any American aircraft in service. While the various iterations of the MALD can’t destroy enemy surface-to-air missiles, they can play a huge role in helping to eliminate even the most advanced integrated air defenses on the planet.
The nine-foot-long, 300-pound MALD manages this feat via a Signature Augmentation Subsystem (SAS), which leverages active radar enhancers that broadcast across a wide range of frequencies to fool defensive radar systems into mistaking the missile-shaped MALD for jets ranging from the original gangster of stealth, the F-117 Nighthawk, all the way up to massive payload-ferrying bombers like the B-52.
The MALD effort began in the 1990s, following America’s success in the Persian Gulf War deploying more than a hundred ADM-141 Tactical Air-Launched Decoys into Iraq ahead of coalition aircraft to fool Iraqi commanders into activating their air defense radar arrays. Once the enemy radar systems came online, coalition aircraft engaged them with anti-radiation missiles like the AGM-88 HARM, making for an extremely effective means of rendering Iraqi airspace safer for subsequent air operations.

The Russian military, the second largest military in the world, may not be what it looks like. Lies and systematic corruptions may in fact have dragged Russia into this war with Ukraine, which has been heavily backed up by the US and NATO. Designed to support the U.S. Army Captains Career Course, “Understanding Combined Arms Warfare” defines and outlines the important aspects of modern combined arms operations. This is not a complete history of combined arms warfare. It is intended to highlight the most important aspects of the subject.
The beginning of the documentary establishes a common understanding of combined arms warfare by discussing doctrinal and equipment developments in World War I. The second part compares the development of French and German Army mechanization during the interwar period and describes how each country fared during the Battle of France in 1940. The film concludes by showing how the United States applied combined arms operations in the European Theater in World War II.

[ Deep Penetration | They Can’t Recover From That | Ukrainians Crushed Russian Flanks ]
••Day 443: May 12
Today there is a lot of good news from the Bakhmut direction.
Here, Ukrainians leveraged their newly gained territories on Bakhmut’s northern flank and increased the scale of the operation even more.
After Ukrainians saw how Russian troops from the 9th Motorized Rifle Brigade started to abandon their positions, it was decided to maintain the momentum and push along the lake. Due to the problems with communication, some Russian detachments did not understand what was going on and still defended their trenches in front of the Khromove road, even though they were already virtually surrounded.
Ukrainians reinforced this region with mortar crews and unleashed devastating fire on the remaining Russian troops. Due to the density of the coverage of these isolated strong points, Russian soldiers were quickly eliminated, and the Khromove road was completely unblocked.
After a quick regrouping, Ukrainians opened two lines of attack: north of the lake and south of the lake. When it comes to the northern attack, Ukrainians rolled out their tank and undermined Russian defense with rapid fire, while an armored fighting vehicle brought the Ukrainian assault unit closer to the enemy positions.
As a result, Russian troops were eliminated, and the positions became under Ukrainian control.
When it comes to the southern attack, Ukrainians almost reach the settlement of Berkhivka with little resistance. Several hours later, Russian forces attempted to make a counterattack and used 2 trucks to deliver several assault units to the tree line.
However, Ukrainians immediately responded with artillery fire, and Russian soldiers ran away before the Ukrainians even managed to correct their fire, so they didn’t incur any losses.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a situational report and claimed that during the previous day, Ukrainians conducted 25 attacks in the Bakhmut direction, engaging up to 3 battalions. They claimed that all attacks were repelled, however, Russian forces still conducted a tactical retreat to better positions.
In the evening, the Head of the Wagner Group, Prigozhin, said that the Russian Ministry of Defense lied, and in reality, Ukrainians penetrated Russian defenses by multiple kilometers because their troops abandoned their positions, and that Ukrainians not only completely unblocked the main supply line, but also established control over the tactical heights.
If we look at the topographic map, we can see that this is true, and now Ukrainians control positions that are more than 50 meters higher than Russian positions in Berkhivka and Bakhmut.
And since attacking the lowlands is much easier, Ukrainians threaten to cut Bakhmut from the north in the near future.
Prigozhin also reported that his forces advanced by around 100 meters in their area of responsibility. Ukrainian Spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces reported that over the last 3 days of active counterattacks, Ukrainians had freed 17.3 square kilometers of the ground, excluding today’s significant advances.
Several hours ago, a fighter from the famous 93rd Mechanized Brigade reported that one of their Rifle Battalions had reinforced the Khromove region, which clearly indicates further development of the counter-encirclement operation.
The ability to quickly maneuver between the flanks and change the location of the next big counterattack once again paid off and allowed Ukrainians to regain the initiative and improve their tactical position significantly.
••UA success in the Bakhmut area mostly based on Orcs running away from their hard won positions.
Both the Wagners and the RGF run away, but the RGF runs faster. Due to the conflicts between the PMC and the RGF, it’s more profitable from the Russian Command to let the PMC be encircled. Then they can blame the PMC and call them traitors etc.
The PMC in Bakhmut does not have enough troops to continue their mission; when they had convict troops they used their most experienced troops on the flanks, but now they cannot do that and so are limited; PMC cannot afford to send troops to the flanks, else they will not be able to secure the city center.
The choice for the PMC is to either retreat or to be encircled.
Russian troops were not prepared to defend the flanks from a UA offensive so they ran. Russian forces on the northern flank were hit with UA artillery and forced to retreat.
If the UA takes Klishchiivka in the south and Yahidne in the north, Bakhmut will shortly be encircled.
North of Bakhmut on the flank, the UA forces the Russian 200th brigade to run away

Prigozhin warned the Russian military about this scenario a month ago. Now most of the Zed Patriots trust Prigozhin’s info more than that coming from Putin and blame the Russian Command for these losses.
Prigozhin wins the information was against the RGF because he has a bot factory in Russia producing anti-Ukraine and anti Western content, and also on western media platforms.{like FR?} [FR Putin trolls work there?]
Prigozhin, by providing all this information for the Zed Patriots, is preforming the duties of a Russian President. The Russian mainstream media does not portray Putin as in command of the military, since he delegated everything about the war to Gerasimov and Shoigu.
Prigozhin is now their main competitor, and since the two havre put the RGF in a very bad position, they are taking the heat for having their army run away.

The reason why the US Abrams will not arrive until this fall, is that it takes time to build the infrastructure to maintain and support them. Priority is supply lines and logistics not to simply getting the training and the tanks. The US will have removed all sensitive equipment that might fall into Russian hands.
Germany intends to transfer arms worth about €2.7 billion to Ukraine in the coming months. According to Der Spiegel, the list will include 20 Marder BMPs, 30 Leopard 1 tanks, 18 wheeled howitzers, 4 IRIS-T-SLM systems and hundreds of guided missiles of this system.

Should be 'nuf said. But, alas, it is not.
Russian reports that the two choppers were not just Mi-8 but expensive Mi-8 MTPR1 long-range electronic warfare systems that suppress enemy air defense radars. Russia operated only about 20 of these.
It looks like you're off your meds again.
Update on the conflict in Ukraine for May 13, 2023:
- Russian media space panics over false claims of Ukraine’s offensive beginning;
- The trading of territory in Bakhmut is typical of urban combat operations and does not indicate a “momentum shift” until the vector sum of the fighting begins favoring Ukraine rather than Russian forces;
- Additional evidence has surfaced that Ukraine is using some of its best military hardware in and around Bakhmut including German-made self-propelled howitzers, indicating that Russian plans to draw in and destroy Ukraine’s best troops and equipment is working;
- Ahead of Ukraine’s offensive, both sides are conducting long-range strikes. For Russia it is about disrupting Ukraine’s offensive potential. For Ukraine it is about shaping the psychological and media landscape of the conflict;
- The Storm Shadow cruise missile is air-launched and for targets deep inside Russian territory to be under threat, Ukrainian warplanes must travel dangerously close ot the line of contact and expose themselves to Russian air defenses. The missiles themselves must circumvent Russian air defense systems and electronic warfare measures;
- The terrain mapping feature most likely will require intelligence sharing between Ukraine and the US-UK in order to make the missile’s use most effective;
- While Storm Shadow missiles and other long-range weapons Ukraine may have will inevitably make it through to their targets these are not capabilities Russia doesn’t already have and in greater abundance. If these are war-winning capabilities, Russia is going to win the war first;
Perhaps they were shot down by HARMs.
HARMs could easily acquire and track airborne jammers.
On the matter of relative value of long range weapons - you are correct that recon and targeting is key.
Russia has long range weapons but so far it seems to have been unable to find targeting info that isnt pre-war, as it seems to be limited to permanent infrastructure. The Russians also have serious accuracy issues as they have tried but been unsuccessful at hitting the Dneiper bridges, which one would think were a high priority in interdicting Ukrainian supply.
Ukraine obviously has US and British intelligence and recon assets available, as their targeting with HIMARS (for instance) has focused on semi-transient targets like ammo dumps, HQs, fuel depots and the like, which requires near real time signals and traffic analysis.
