I had the privilege of being in a hospital intensive care with a group of special forces soldiers from Fort Bragg when one of them was shot multiple times and was fighting death. They were a group that spent many tours of duty together in Afghanistan in remote areas.
I have never in my life observed a bond between men so strong. There was not one of them who would not risk his life to help the injured soldier. When the law becomes meaningless, these men are the kind the Rambo movie is about, but as a team, not one person.
