We don’t know for sure what De Santis thinks about the town hall results. My guess is that this event sent shivers down his spine given the way Trump handled the questions and the reaction of the crowd to many of his comments, the standing ovation, and the various Trump surrogates after the town hall. Does DeSantis and his crew think they can take on Trump and defeat him? I’m sure this gives them something to think about. Trump is having a rally in Des Moines on Saturday, May 13th, let’s see how many thousands show up for that.

I read Gateway every day and you are right. They are to Trump what CNN is to Dems. Desantis’s accomplishments are here and now + honesty, integrity, et al. Trump’s appointments were unmitigated disasters. Now he is spending time trashing the GOP best opportunity instead of Biden. His current polls are directly due to the left’s witch hunt against him. He is old news with same old same old. If the GOP wants to win in 2024 it must not follow this Pied Piper over the cliff. I supported him in ‘16 & ‘20 and will again IF he is the nominee, but face it, he will not win. His baggage is insurmountable.
