Former Vice President Mike Pence is poised to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2024 and will formally announce his candidacy in June according to a report.
Newsmax revealed that Pence spoke to a Northeastern Republican donor and said he was going to announce in June.
The outlet reported that Pence previously had reservations about jumping into the race after being loudly booed at the NRA convention last month in his home state of Indiana.
Pence certainly did not help himself after having a meltdown at a dinner back in March. While at the Gridiron Dinner, an annual event attended by politicians and journalists, Pence blamed Trump for for the events surrounding J6 and claimed the former president put his family in danger.
President Trump was wrong.
I had no right to overturn the election. And his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day, and I know history will hold Donald Trump accountable.

Since he has no chance, I can only assume Pence’s goal is to kamikaze into the Trump campaign.
Pence and the other little worms are counting on the courts to take Trump off the board.

He needs to get together with Liz Cheney, and the two of them will make a formidable source. Probably the NYTimes will give them front page.

Pence must be silly ambitious; he does not stand a chance.
Pompeo would have done better than Pence, even though the effor would not be good enough.
Pence may come across as a “nice” guy, but that is never enough in politics. And, in debates, jumping on Trump over things like Jan 6 will not win him any primary and will be loved by the Democrats as good free anti-Trump ad material.
Who the heck is Pence?
Pence and most “professional politicians” (BOTH parties), Can’t stand Trump and do not want him in office because Trump does do a lot for the people and for the country...He doesn’t concentrate on elites, donors, and political cronies like they do....
My Dad still has his Trump/Pence sign up since 2020. After the election, he placed duct tape over the name Pence.
Pence is getting his bribe money. He gets to keep any unspent campaign funds.

If it comes down to a choice of Pence or Christie for the Republican nomination, I’ll immigrate to Mexico.

I’m wondering who he thinks his voting base will be. Not Trump supporters, not democrats, and I doubt even Liz Cheney-type republicans. So, that leaves a small numbers of voters who are of the Chris Christy variety. . Not even enough to carry any of a state’s electors.
He is a man without a country in the JEB! class.
