Mentioned was unaffordable rates on car loans. You can’t find an affordable used car, even one you might be able to pay cash for. In fact, I heard one person say that in certain circumstances a used car could even cost MORE than a new one. Most dealers will tell you that years ago they ruined the used car market with the “cash for clunkers” program” & I certainly believe it. Soon we could likely have a situation where used EVs will cost more to fix than anybody will pay, thereby rendering them useless on a car lot. Thanks, Joe Biden!
I’m expecting at some point in the next 10 years, 3D printers that print with metal will improve enough that a trend will start of people printing their own cars. It’ll be interesting to see how that impacts the market.
