Prior to the termination of the Title 42 public health order, which helped prevent the entry of migrants into the United States, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the creation of a new Texas Tactical Border Force on Monday.
We’re deploying the new Texas Tactical Border Force to border hotspots to repel illegal crossings.
These elite soldiers will fill in the gaps in preparation for Title 42 ending this week.

Too little, too late there Abbot.
Abbott.
1836 Texas is rolling over in its collective grave.
popcorn fart issued soon after
No. I like it. Force our military to fight law enforcement doing its legally defined job.
Yep, sure. Nothing will be done.
Should have activated it three years ago, dumbass...
For information.......
On May 11th, Title 42, the health statute enacted during the COVID-19 outbreak, will no longer be used to regulate migration at the United States-Mexico border. Instead, the administration will return to Title 8, the country’s immigration statute.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Chief Officer Troy Miller, had recently informed Congress that his department is ready for up to 10,000 migrants to cross the southern border each day, once Title 42 expires, which would nearly triple the daily average in March. Other internal government predictions indicate that, in the absence of substantial policy changes, daily migrant numbers might climb to between 11,000 and 13,000 people.

Gov. Abbott Activates ‘Texas Tactical Border Force’
Too little, too late there Abbot.

Feds are closing shop and the Texas state has to take over.
Just put up those road signs with the flashing arrows. Have them all point WEST, to New Mexico and Arizona.
He should be offering free rides to Phoenix on his Air Guard C130s, C17s, and C141s. If Phoenix Bill Gates wants to F-Around let him Find Out.
Abbott is pretty much a non-worker.
He also doesn’t stand for much, literally, and figuratively.
Hey, leave Arizona out of this. We have enough coming in through our border already. Besides, most if not all are headed to destinations in the eastern US.
Abbott has been boasting for the past few years about how he’s going to fight the invasion. He’s done a little, but not much. I doubt much will come of this either though I’d love to be proven wrong.
DOJ injunction against it in 3-2-1...
I don’t get it. Once they cross they say give me asylum and now they get bussed to other places. What will the national guard and tactical fence do? Enable easier access to busses?
If you catch any of them, take away their race cards and blank banana boater voter mail in ballots.
Texas needs to declare war on Mexico. That will put a stop to this.
(The constitution allows the states the right to do this; the federal govt must then prosecute the war.)
“ He should be offering free rides to Phoenix on his Air Guard C130s, C17s, and C141s. If Phoenix Bill Gates wants to F-Around let him Find Out.”
Fly them all to Portland and Seattle.
US military v Texas. That would seem to be the logical consequence. It could even lead to a civil war, starting with the US govt against Texas...which, if won by Texas, and its allies, would result in the termination of the invasion from the south.
I can't think of any other way to accomplish that end, since the invaders will keep coming and the US govt (both parties) seems committed to bringing millions of people in.
That said, if there's any chance Texas will stand its ground, the US is most unlikely to engage in a hot war that might spread to other states; nor would conservatives who still believe in fair elections, want to lose the electoral votes of Texas (though they will in any case, whether Texas secedes, or its new population votes).
Conclusion: the only way with any chance of success at ending the invasion is a civil war; and it won't happen.
