The pipelines were not producing income; they were costing money to operate.

(Nordstream one was flowing, only interrupted by Canadian and German refusal to return compressors out for repair, and EU seizure of Russian bank accounts and cutting them off swift)

The war forced Nord Stream customers to find other sources, and it was unlikely that Nord Stream would operate again.

(The customers were forced to find other sources because THEY refused to allow N2 to turn on, and refused to pay. Nordstream 2 was completed and Germany, under US pressure, refused to let it turn on)

It made it clear to Germany what the price was for helping Ukraine.

(Yeah, actually it was the USA, Brits ensuring Germany did not relax the sanctions because it was killing the German manufacturing sector)

It avoided breach of contract financial penalties that would hit Gazprom if Germany desired to re-open the pipeline, and Russia refused.

(IF.... Russia never refused to send gas. Germany refused to let it flow or pay for it. And to this day, Russian gas flows through Ukraine, into the EU)

The repair cost of the pipelines was insured.

(It is insured by German insurers Allianz and Munich Re. Think Russia would blow it themselves, sure to be caught and see their insurers deny the claim? OTOH, if the EU never intends to repair it, no claim would be coming, and there is significant NATO motive to pretend Russia bombed theirself)

Breaching the pipelines at the deepest part means that the shortest area would be flooded, and the damage would be the cheapest to repair.

(It was breached as far away from Russia as possible, right under the watchful eye of the Poles who harassed them as it was built with warships. It was near Denmark and Norway and Germany.... as far from the Russian end of the Baltic as possible)

Last but not least. Amazing that all the satellites, swarming NATO spy planes saw nothing.

All of those reasons could also be accomplished by turning off the spigot. And If they wanted to teach Germany a lesson, they would have cut off the Ukraine routed gas line to leave Germany Nordstream as the only alternative.

And it was blown up the day after the pipeline from Norway opened. Just a coincidence.

And last, I thought some Ukrainians in a motorboat did it.

But nice CIA cover story.

The US or UK blew it up to keep Germany from going wobbly. The destruction of their economy by choice if the pipeline was intact. Germans would have taken the gas and made some back room deals or the citizens would have thrown their own politicians out …. The only option was to make the pipelines not an option.
