I learned that back as a kid... 18 years old onboard the U.S.S. St. Louis LKA-116!! Being a fair skinned white boy, I would burn and peel miserably trying to get a tan by spending hours in the sun!! But in time I learned 30 minutes at prime time sun every day, gave me that deep golden soCal tan that set off the blonde hair and blue eyes enough to keep the babes looking my way lol!!...
Up here in MI, it takes me from Now until mid july to acquire it, and it starts fading by mid september!! Maybe I'll do better in the next life and move there early on!!

I can usually spot tourists from the Midwest by their skin coloration. Easiest of all to spot are tourists from Europe since their skin has the burnt red color to it. Oh, and because for some weird reason all the European men wear bikini bottoms for bathing suits.
