Neither are all Africans living in $5 million mansions as the ads repeatedly show. The ad that got me a couple of years ago was for a home security company. It showed a black homeowner in this huge mansion, while a thug was breaking and entering. The thug was a clean-shaven white dude.
I’ve been paying attention to ad propaganda for years now. The newest trend is portraying the black as being smart, knowledgeable and articulate. They put them in the role to educate the lowly, unmotivated white on product benefits.
And the breaking and entering? Yes. There were at least a half dozen commercials the last several years. And they all had a white as the bad guy. Can’t recall seeing the one described though.

I have said this here for 20 years, and I’ve been shouted down as a racist or bigot that advertising for a generation now is basically social engineering propaganda and I think most would agree today that I was correct
