Once the Russians get going they aren’t going to stop even if the West screams “peace, peace!” in the form of Minsk 3 to delay the Russians like they did with the previous Minsk agreements in order to have time to arm the Ukraine.
The West will either cut and run and leave Zelensky to dry or they’ll stay and join the fight. The West wants WW3 in order to justify a global financial and population reset. That’s why I think they’ll stay and directly join the fight.
You have not been following Russian sources. There are many voices saying that it is the time to pause. The Russians are exhausted; there will be no spring offensive.

How does the West come out of a nuclear (from your other posts) WW3 in a better financial position than it is in now, when it now has over 73% of global GDP, and most of its wealth in easily destroyed undefended concentrations?
That aside from China at present and at least for the near future most likely being able to sidestep a WW3 of European origin.
Why does the West need a "population reset" when populations in most places that really matter to the West, eat up the most resources per person, etc., are already in population decline?
Biden's surface bluster but measley support so far (truly pitiful arms supplies to Ukraine) indicates cowardice on his Administration's part, as opposed to actually providing Ukraine with sufficient weaponry to convince Russia it can't win.
