On Monday, West Virginia Del. Elliott Pritt announced his switch from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party, becoming the fourth Democrat to do so in the last two months. Just last week, Louisiana Rep. Jeremy LaCombe ditched the Democrat Party for the Republicans.
Pritt, who works as a teacher, serves as the minority chair of the Committee on Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services, the minority vice chair of the Committee on Education, the minority vice chair of the Committee on Jails and Prisons, the minority vice chair of the Committee on Pensions and Retirement, and on the Committee for Economic Development and Tourism.

As I posted on an earlier thread on this;
In WV, you *are* what you need to be.
Ideology is not the determining factor.
PS....the GOP, just like the RATs do no vetting...they are interested ONLY in numbers.
I hope so to. Having said that, it’s always nice to see people abandoning the party of slavery and the KKK.
Not exactly.
The party has no control over membership.
A person declares themselves Republican - and then they are.
Choose carefully.
WE are the ones who NEED TO do a better job of vetting, WE ALL have failed miserably at vetting our legislators ANYTHING with an R was just fine lesser of two evils!! We keep winning elections and YET we have LOST OUR NATION!! Once we put these bastards into office we can’t get rid of them!! I am at the point right now that if we can’t primary Graham let the Dem have the seat and LOOK at getting a Senator in from a different state Graham HAS TO GO, he is a phony backstabbing POS Neocon!!!
Moving the party even more leftward
I have watched this ‘party switching’ since Christ was a Corporal. All it really is, is professional politicians taking advantage of the publicity they can get joining which ever party seems to be the most popular at any given moment.
The last one that was of any consequence was Ronald Reagan. Most of the rest as worthless as portholes on a submarine.
Reagan paid his dues, after becoming a Republican, it was years before he even became Two-Term Governor of California.
Why would someone want to join a dying party?
So the Republican party is going to be full of Democrats?
Will we be able to tell the difference?
Mole of the week arrives tomorrow.
He’s a POLITICIAN!!!
Ain’t none of ‘em worth a bucket of cold goat phlegm.
Not sure who this WE is that you speak of.
You must have me confused with a Republican.
I am not now, have never been, nor will I ever become a member of a political party or any other criminal organization.
TOTALLY AGREE with your every word!!
Yep
☝️❗️
I believe Trump is an ex Democrat too.
Good point dragnet.
As if that isn't already happening.
you can’t truly switch a party unless in your heart and mind you had a true come to Jesus moment. many of these folks are likely just blowing with the wind, unfortunately, and are just making choices for their political career growth.
My come to Jesus moment was 1984. Reagan promised just 2-3 things in his 1st term and came through. That year I was 30 years old. As an 18-year old I proudly voted for George McGovern. Was it Reagan or when one turns 30 he/she knows themselves better?
Too many baby boomers never grew up. Too much pot.
