“ The Ukrainian authorities have begun to take back weapons from the civilian population of Dnepropetrovsk (a large city in Ukraine) that were distributed to citizens at the beginning of the war, fearing that the people would rise up against the corrupt government.” —————— “ Like in Kiev 10,000 machine guns were handed out to people in just a few hours!!! Crazy!
Most of these guns end up in the hands of criminal or aggressive citizens, of course...

When trying to explain to civilians why the military spends time on marching, tight bunks, gig lines, and all the focus on attention to detail to their young recruits, I use examples like what you described of your work situation.
I point out that can’t really have the average untrained 19-year-olds with their scatterbrained minds living together with grenades, pistols, and antitank weapons in the room with them without everyone getting killed, and God knows when a few cases of beer are brought onboard.
The military has its reasons for all the work they do to bring some discipline and order to those young testosterone-drenched male minds.
Very well said.
Excellent choices.
Unless I was selling them, I’d probably take the 240 though.
Ma Deuce is kool, especially for vehicles, but heavy and a pain to use - and barrel changes.
