Really, a national divorce is possible and needs to be considered.
Respectfully, no it's not possible.
We would be thrilled to be separated from them. We just want to live our own lives free from those psychos.
But the converse is NOT true. They may say it is, but as in all things -- they LIE. Ultimately, they live to stomp our faces into the ground. So they would NEVER actually permit us to be free from them.
Sometimes it's hard for us to understand this because we're just wired differently. We dislike them and want to be free from them. But they hate us and live to see our destruction.
Orwell understood this.
