The recent Saudi moves to decrease production and increase prices should motivate some restoration of pumping and new US drilling.

Should!

The Saudis have historically been staunch allies of the United States. Iran is a fundamental threat to Saudi, Israel, and other Middle Eastern Countries. With Trump as president the Saudies, the UAE, Egypt, Israel etc. were firm allies. Under Trump, Israel and Saudi became DeFacto partners of defense against Iran via the Abraham Accords.

Biden destroyed all of this by being soft on Iran and terrorism. In effect he dropped his pants, pointed his butt toward Iran and said “okay boys.”

The Saudi’s are no longer a staunch Allie of the USA. The see weakness in Biden and realize that they must perhaps seek closer relationships with China.
