This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Excerpts:
France is not currently considering a plan to buy back Mirage 2000-9 fighter jets from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and give them to Ukraine.
“No buy-back for shipment to Ukraine is envisaged at this stage,” a French official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the matter, told The War Zone Tuesday.
The official was responding to information in a report by Intelligence Online that part “of Abu Dhabi’s Mirage 2000-9 fleet could be used to make a first delivery of French fighter aircraft to Ukraine.”
Intelligence Online reported that since the announcement in December 2021 that UAE was buying 80 Rafales from France, the entourage of Emirati president Mohamed bin Zayhed Al Nahyan “has been letting it be known that he is ready to put his fleet of Mirage 2000-9s on to the second-hand market.”
Indonesia’s Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, “who is trying to strengthen his country’s air force and has in recent years become a key figure on international defense markets, has indicated that he is interested, as has the Greek government, which would like 36 aircraft,” according to Intelligence Online. “In any case, any change of ownership of the Emirati aircraft will have to be approved by France.”
When asked by the French publication Le Figaro today whether France should play a role in Ukraine’s combat aviation capabilities, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said nothing was off the table, but that Ukraine has other needs as well.
“The Ukrainians are asking for planes to master their skies,” Lecornu said. “France is already responding to this with ground-to-air equipment that provides defense and protection against attacks by drones, missiles or aircraft.”

Despite an increase in complaints, investigations by the Offices of Inspector General (OIG) for the Pentagon, State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) found no substantiation of “significant waste, fraud or abuse” in the $113 billion worth of U.S. government aid in response to Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine.
“Following the publication of the joint hotline poster, all three OIGs saw increases in Ukraine-related hotline complaints,” according to a report released Monday by the Joint Oversight for Ukraine Response. “Although not all complaints are relevant to the OIGs’ oversight mandates, each complaint is reviewed, processed and, if appropriate, referred for investigation.”
As of March 1, the three OIGs had received 189 Ukraine response-related hotline complaints, including allegations submitted by Ukrainian citizens regarding alleged misconduct within Ukraine, according to the report.
“OIG investigations resulting from these and other allegations have not substantiated significant waste, fraud or abuse.”

The US decision to fly its surveillance drones further south over the Black Sea after a Russian jet collided with a US drone on March 14 “definitely limits our ability to gather intelligence” related to the Ukraine war, according to CNN, citing “a senior US military official.
“Flying drones at greater distances reduces the quality of intelligence they can gather, a US military official explained, noting that spy satellites can compensate to some degree but have shorter times over targets, again reducing effectiveness relative to surveillance drones,” according to CNN.

Whether the Russians actually intercepted a GLSDB or this falls into the category of habitually false claims about battlefield successes out of Moscow - like when the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed they destroyed more U.S. M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS than were actually sent to Ukraine - remains to be seen.
[We Destroyed 7 Bases in 2 Days, Russians Panic | Russians Fire Their General For Catastrophic Incompetence]
••Today there is a lot of news from the South.
Here, Ukrainians have been hitting Russian main logistical centers already for 2 days and have reportedly destroyed at least 7 bases.
Russian analysts started to warn that the increased frequency of HIMARS strikes indicates that the counteroffensive might start very soon, and it seems like the Russian Ministry of Defense understands it as well, because they just fired the commander of all Russian forces in southern Ukraine.
Last time I told you that Ukrainians broke the long period of low activity in the region with a series of mechanized assaults, artillery, and aviation strikes.
I also told you that this was just the preparation for the counteroffensive operation because the current goal of Ukrainian troops is to get rid of the grey zones and get as close to the main Russian fortifications as possible.
The freshest reports suggest that the grey zone areas around Orikhiv have been reduced significantly. If previously, Bilohorivka was not permanently occupied by any party, then now it is clear that Ukrainians have established total control over this village and are slowly pushing further.
The intensity of fights in front of Novodanylove has also increased. Here Ukrainian 128th Assault Brigade has consistently been using up to two platoons for reconnaissance-in-force operations in the direction of Robotyne.
Russian sources reported that Ukrainians are attacking from multiple directions at once and sometimes multiple times per day to catch the Russians off-guard.
The area of operations seems to be slowly expanding because Ukrainians also started assaulting Russian strong points between Robotyne and Bilohia.
The openness of the area significantly complicates the situation, which is why not all attacks go according to the plan. Sometimes Russians manage to stop a Ukrainian assault unit by spotting it with a drone and timely coordinating with the artillery.
The latest updates suggest that Ukrainians started to use smoke screens extensively in order to mask the movement and location of troops and prevent precise correction of artillery fire.
Ukrainians also started assaulting Russian positions near Myrne. Previously, it was reported that Ukrainians only engaged assault helicopters for conducting airstrikes to soften up Russian defenses, so the assaults here are not surprising.
The increasing scope of the operations has already brought some results and revealed the weakest aspect of the Russian primary defense line.
Despite the fact that Russians hold extensive trench networks, they are too sparsely located to protect one another, which is why they can easily be surrounded and collapsed during more comprehensive actions.
However, storming of trenches may not be needed if an intense enough artillery preparation is conducted. Ukrainian artillery is already working on the revealed main Russian strongpoints in the region. Ukrainian artillery has also recently conducted a series of precision strikes.
Yesterday, Mariupol Mayoral Advisor reported that Ukrainian HIMARS crews received an extensive fire mission and targeted Russian bases in Melitopol, Tokmak, Volnovakha, Novotroitske, and Donetsk.
In Melitopol, Ukrainians destroyed a dormitory quartering Russian military and Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel, while in other places, Ukrainians targeted ammunition depots and warehouses with equipment.
Today the strikes continued, and Ukrainians also hit objects in Fedorivka and Berdyansk. Berdyansk is one of the main Russian logistical hubs, with a lot of ammunition and equipment.
Interestingly, Russian sources previously highlighted that if Ukrainians increase the frequency of HIMARS use in the Zaporizhzhia region, then the counteroffensive operation is imminent, and the closer the strikes are to the zero line, the closer is the offensive.
Even though, so far, Ukrainians are mainly targeting the deep rear, Russian forces have already started making massive changes in the structure of the command.
Several days ago, rumors started spreading that the Russian Ministry of Defense fired the commander of the Russian forces in the south, Rustam Muradov. Muradov took command on 6th October, and has overseen a series of disastrous offensive operations, including the high casualties, suffered in the assault against Pavlivka in October-November and the prolonged and failed effort to take Vuhledar.
At first, Russian military bloggers were positive about the news, in hopes that the Russian command was taking the threat seriously and trying to promote competent leaders. However, today it was announced that Muradov just went on vacation, so they temporarily assigned Andrey Kuzmenko.
Many Russian military analysts are not happy with the change and have started to speculate that they just made him responsible in case they lose Zaporizhzhia and need to have someone to blame.
Overall, Ukrainian forces are slowly establishing total control over the grey zones, getting closer to Russian positions, and conducting reconnaissance-in-force operations to reveal the weaknesses in the Russian defense.
In the meantime, Russian forces seem to have worsened their own command structure by assigning an uninvolved general instead of getting rid of the inept leaders and promoting the commanders of units that are actually on the ground.
Russian and Wagners around Bakhmut number around 50,000. The 80,000 UA troops there are not enough break the Russian frontline. Denys says they would need 150,000 troops, plus all the other stuff.
Russian still suffering heavy losses in the taking city center. They can partially take the city, but they do not have the resources to encircle it.
==
UA trenches in Bakhmut still have water ankle deep. Beavers are trying to take over some trenches.
==
In the North, The Russians are advancing toward Torske.
==
At the current pace, the Russians will need around 200 years to take all of Ukraine.
==
What does a successful counterattack mean? It’s not just taking the ground, the main priority is to break though the Russian defense line causing it to collapse. It needs to be a fast attack with high mobility vehicles taking out surviving pockets after the first thrust with artillery, planes and tanks. [See Combined Arms Breach link in the boiler plate above.]
With Russian forces mostly concentrated in Donbas, having suffered heavy losses, they are exhausted and may not be able to withstand a counterattack.
For a successful counterattack, all conditions need to be met, and weather is a big one. Good and dry are the keys. Russian forces started their winter offensive when the ground was wet and got bogged down, being forced to use the roads to maneuver and becoming easy targets.

In Europe, increasing ammo production is a problem because TikTok created its Hubs near the factories, and now the factories cannot get enough electricity to increase production. Just increasing the power to that area is not possible. Only possibilities are: build an alternative power plant for the factory or switch off TikTok, which has many electricity-hungry Hubs around the factory, almost as it was pre-planned. As it stands, factory cannot produce any more shells for Ukraine or Norway. Defense Intelligence says the Russian 3rd Army Corp, 10th Tank Regiment lost a large portion of its tanks trying to take Avdiivka. This formation was just recently stood up and has limited combat effectiveness because it is mostly comprised of Mobniks with poor morale. Tank losses due to tactical failures with frontal assaults like those in Vuhledar area.
