While it seems unlikely that Xi was being literal in his remarks, a check of the events of March 1923 around the 21st reveal that in China there was an earthquake that killed thousands, and in Russia two Catholic priests were on trial and one would later be executed. So perhaps this is a glimpse into this hundred year declaration. Also Lenin had a stroke and ceased to be de facto leader of the USSR.

I think this is what the discussion is about. America will have to join or be left behind. Gold backing. We’ll have to join the big guys or fall. Just my thoughts.
