Well, so far Trump has been the only one, the only one, who has actually done anything. I think that is the key here. Many have talked about doing it, sure. The problem is, going up against the political establishment can be quite hazardous to your health as we have seen.
Trump and his family have been ruthlessly targeted by the system and continue to be. Not many want that for themselves and I don’t believe DeSantis wants that for himself or his family either. I don’t think he wants to walk into that buzzsaw and why would he? After all, Desantis seems to enjoy the support of The Washington republican establishment which means he has already chosen his path.
And about the topic of who is more likely to win and get elected. It’s doubtful that anybody who doesn’t meet with the approval of Washington politicos can win The Presidency with our current election system and that includes Trump.
Trump is a long shot for sure but anybody that poses a threat to the power of Washington would be a long shot too. I think Trump’s chances of winning hinge on just how bad it gets in America and the world. If the situation becomes dire enough, they may have to let him win. There is also the outside chance of an awakening in the public with just how everything is turning to shit.
If the political establishment is willing to let DeSantis win then DeSantis is not going to be a political reformer and will just be another in a long line of GOP Presidents who nibbled around the edges as America continues to decline.
