Japan is probably the most effective nation among the advanced in terms of keeping COVID infection and death rates low at the direction of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, local and prefectural governments, most companies and the common sense and cohesive and group cooperation of the Japanese people themselves—with a minimal of Karen bitching and meltdowns. The reasons they did so, conflict with some of the points listed above. Empirically and with Japanese supercomputer modeling (Fugaku, manufactured by Fujitsu, Ltd.) it can be proven. But there is silence on the other side. In fact, they do NOT even want to go there, they firmly want to stay away from the building blocks of Japan’s rapid response that spared it the phenomenal amount of per capita deaths in places like USA, Brazil, Peru, Italy, India, etc. etc. etc. If anyone should be on Capitol Hill testifying about COVID origins and response (successful), it should be Japan’s science and health community leaders.
hilarious, why not Taiwan?
number whatever above-islands are an outlier.
Masks and lockdowns-Asian island modus operandi accomplished nothing.
Given Japan’s strategy was heavily reliant on masks and lockdowns-why should folks follow that plan?
The government is full of lying criminals and then useful idiots keep voting in democrats who are even worse.
