And I recall when Schumer told a major whopper on the steps of the Capitol. It was said he could’ve done it with no problem on the FLOOR of the Senate, but could/should have been censured for doing it on the steps.
I know it happens all the time (I would venture that there are exponentially more lies than truths spoken on the floor of the House and Senate). But my earlier reply was where that is found in the Constitution. Someone stated it was protected by a specific clause - but I don’t see that in any terminology in the Constitution...
