Trump was highly critical of big-money politics. He did not ask for money from any big donors. Some, like Sheldon Adelson, Todd Ricketts and Geoffrey Palmer, donated money to supporting PACs, anyway. Trump could have gotten along just fine with grass roots donations.

The economy was great. Trump was able to rebuild the military (after 8 years of Obama’s depletion,) eliminate our dependence on foreign oil, and reduce the horrendous trade imbalance. If not for McCain, there would be no Obamacare to plague us. Naturally the scam-demic was a setback, but the economy recovered quickly. Overall, Trump increased the debt from $14,167,624 at the end of 2016 to $21,016,669 at the end of 2020, with over $4 trillion of that debt imposed in his last year, during the scam-demic ($16,800,700 at the end of 2019 to $21,016,669 at the end of 2020).

DeSantis is our governor, and he has done a great job. But aside from his disloyalty to Trump, he has surrounded himself with some very nasty RINOs whom he will be beholden to if he becomes president. Trump is also a highly successful businessman who knows how to run an economy, and he is beholden to no one except out of personal, not financial, loyalty.
I believe you mentioned (unfavorably?) Trump’s support for the first DeSantis governor race. The facts are, Trump came out strong and early for DeSantis in a Dec 22, 2017 Tweet, officially endorsed him in a June 22, 2018 Tweet, and campaigned for him in the July 31, 2018 Tampa Rally. That's just simply not correct, and you should know better. There's plenty of articles out there about how Trump was courting big money donors while simply playing an act that he didn't need them. It's typical for Trump, say one thing, do another. That behavior is one of the main reasons why he's not getting any big money this time, at least not so far. And if he solely has to rely on grass roots donors, he has no chance of winning.

Trump has claimed MANY times in interviews he overruled Fauci on the warp speed vaccine, which Fauci said should take years to properly test. Is Trump lying?
I was quite vocal on this site that the Covid was overhyped and no worse than the flu. Scamdemic. What Trump unleashed on us was horrible. Lockdowns. Free rent by EO. No student loans by EO. Ventilators that killed countless by EO. New policies that allow fast tracking of all drugs now. Not stopping gain of function, or ever even mentioning the words. And not one regret.

Yes, Trump and his supporters have attacked DeSantis for simply saying those that broke the law deserve to be punished. This is conservative thinking. Yet in Trump's world, people smashing into the capital and taking selfie's in the Speaker's office are heroes. How would you have felt if Al Gore had a riot on the day of the elector vote and a black man had pictured himself at Newt Gingrich's desk. Hero, or outlaw?
