“Russian proxies in Oleshky and Skadovsk in Kherson are preparing to flee to Crimea”

From your link: “they might be taking extra precautions ahead (of) a spring Ukrainian counter-offensive”

That was my first guess as well.

Russia threw its “Charge of the Mobniks” punch and didn’t get far while the ground was solid. They will likely keep sending those boys forward into the guns during mud season, with even less likelihood of significant advances.

But the next big move (everyone is waiting for) is likely going to be after mud season, when the new NATO-style Ukrainian counter attack Corps has its run. I would want to get out of its way ahead of time as well, if I was there.

I hope that the Ukrainian forces are resourced for a real shock and awe preparation with deep precision fires, so that the maneuver elements cut through Russian occupied areas like a samurai sword slice.
