This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Nearly sixty-two years since the first of the Soviet Army’s T-62s entered service, the Russian Army has once again modified the now obsolete tank. The “T-62M Obr. 2022” as shown in this Ukraine Weapons Tracker (@UAWeapons) tweet appears equipped with a thermal sight only about half as old as the tank itself ... announced a plan to “modernize” 800 of the type for service.
The base T–62M dates to 1983, and NATO intelligence first observed the upgraded model during the Soviet Union’s war in Afghanistan. It represented a considerable improvement over the original tanks, ironically built at the famed Malyshev Factory in Kharkiv, Ukraine, with upgraded armor and fire control systems, as well as a new diesel engine. It also featured the capability to fire 9K116-2 “Sheksna” (NATO: AT-10 Stabber) anti-tank guided missiles.
That 1PN96MT-02 thermal sight, however, has its roots originally in the early production run of BTR-80 armored personnel carriers in the mid-1980s.
While the modern Sosna-U panoramic optics found on contemporary T-72B, T-80BVM, and T-90 variants vastly outclass the 1PN96, they rely upon a French-made Thales thermal imager. Invasion-related sanctions obviously foreclose replacing those Sosna-Us lost in combat or making additional units to retrofit reactivated tanks.
Modern armored warfare depends largely on who can fire the first shot, so having a better or worse set of eyes can prove decisive.

Today there are a lot of updates from the southeast.
After an unbreakable series of defeats in Vuhledar, the Russians have collected one more assault unit to conduct yet another massive attack in an attempt to breach one of the most important points on the Ukrainian defense line and cause a devastating chain reaction.
But an early arriving rainy season has finally put an end to the Russian winter campaign.
Last time I told you that the Russians started transferring a lot of troops and equipment from Mariupol to Vuhledar because their forces started losing their combat capability due to extensive losses.
I also told you that the Ukrainians had conducted a series of pre-emptive strikes on Russian bases in Mariupol to ensure that the relocated formations will not arrive full and ready.
Yesterday Ukrainian Mariupol Mayoral Advisor claimed that certain Russian forces previously deployed within the Russian rear have arrived at the Vuhledar front.
Nonetheless, the intensity of fights in this region has not increased.
Instead, a video was released where a Russian commander showed the landscape in close proximity to Vuhledar and explained why it did not allow the Russians to breach Ukrainian defense despite having more manpower and equipment.
He got on the local hill and showed how easy it is to control the villages in the lowlands.
He said that the difference in elevation near Vuhledar is even more extreme, and because the Ukrainians have a lot of cameras and drones, they can quickly and precisely correct artillery fire, which makes attacking from the lowlands awfully difficult.
He also described the situation near the coalmines and said that in this case, even though they are almost at the same elevation, these small hills serve as natural fortifications that are almost impossible to approach.
Around two weeks ago, the Russians started complaining about the ineffective use of artillery and aviation and asked the high command to erase the high-rise building in Vuhledar with big caliber shells.
Over the last week, the Russians have increased their fire on Vuhledar.
In order to disperse their fire, the Ukrainians launched a series of counterattacks, but it looks like the Russians already got fixated on the city itself.
The latest reports suggest that the Russians started using 203 and 240 mm caliber artillery, and even long-range missiles like Kh-59 in order to level the city with the ground.
Russian sources are saying that several high-rise buildings are already down, however, this information remains unconfirmed at this time.
There are several things that the Ukrainians can do: firstly, they can boost air defense in this region to prevent the Russians from using long-range missiles and aviation, and secondly, they can increase air reconnaissance in the region and concentrate their efforts on effective counterbattery fire.
For now, it looks like the Russians decided to put their offensive operation on hold and destroy all the obstacles with their artillery and aviation before making a second attempt to breach Ukrainian defense somewhere in late April.
Globally speaking, the Russian offensive operation has failed.
The Russians planned to capture the whole Luhansk region by spring so that they could start dealing with Sloviansk and Kramatorsk during the late-spring or summer operation.
In order to achieve it, they tried to disperse Ukrainian troops by penetrating their defense in Vuhledar, finishing the encirclement of Bakhmut to shorten the front line and freeing up some troops, and crossing the Zherebets River in front of Kreminna.
However, they failed to achieve each of these tactical goals, let alone the whole operation, because their time is up.
Today positive temperatures and rains finally came to the whole eastern front.
It will continue to rain for at least several days each week, so offensive actions will become much more difficult.
By the time the rainy season ends, the Ukrainians will be ready for a counteroffensive operation, so it looks like the Russians have missed their best chance to achieve operation-level success.
