Obama: 'Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f**k things up' - Putin suspends New START nuclear treaty

No big thing, just Putin ending the ONLY nuclear arms control treaty with the United States.

Let’s go, Brandon.

What was it Obama said about Joe? Oh yeah, he said, ‘Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.’

He was right about something … color us shocked.

Putin just announced the suspension of New START, the only remaining nuclear arms control treaty between the US and Russia. For the first time in decades, there are no limits on either country's arsenal. Sure to be declared another great diplomatic triumph for the Biden Admin

— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) February 21, 2023

Cue the morons thumping their chests and claiming that somehow this proves Biden has Putin EXACTLY WHERE HE WANTS HIM.

According to the consensus of the "Foreign Policy Community," the Biden Admin has done a masterful job with diplomacy over the past year. Somehow the tanking of relations with Russia and China to calamitous new lows doesn't factor in to this. (Not to mention Iran and North Korea)

— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) February 21, 2023

And who could forget Afghanistan?

Biden is a nightmare in many ways, but his foreign policy may be the most dangerous.

What was called the most tangible foreign policy achievement of Obama's first several years in office has now been blown to bits pic.twitter.com/YpwgnVNSy0

Ahem, see Obama’s quote.

Who was the Vice President in 2010, I can't remember pic.twitter.com/aJhO2Ag0oB

— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) February 21, 2023

Guess he didn’t think this was as big of a f**king deal as Obamacare?

And before anyone makes the standard Low IQ argument that Trump by contrast kept Russia in line through "strength" or whatever, try learning some basic facts instead of spouting nonsense pic.twitter.com/4A2k3CqHP9

It's honestly a tossup between these two Top Diplomats for who has the most blemished diplomatic record, but at least Pompeo is openly maligned. Yes @tedlieu, simply "masterful"https://t.co/Y1ew69p2MI pic.twitter.com/ltftpeTPyC

— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) February 21, 2023

Masterful.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Just when we think nobody can out-stupid Eric Swalwell.

They will announce what a great moral victory it is that we still unilaterally limit our arsenal while Russia expands theirs, China expands theirs.

Welcome to the Biden agenda.

DC and NATO unilaterally and arbitrarily scrapped the balance of power responsible for averting WWIII since 1945. It’s one thing to have a nuclear treaty when there is a balance of power and a buffer between the superpowers. It’s a whole new ballgame after 30 years of NATO rampant hegemony in Europe. Oh yeah, the largest offensive behemoth the world has ever seen sitting on Russia’s border, preaching Moscow regime change, only a days tank ride from Moscow destroyed the small amount of trust behind previous Salt and Start treaties. Less trust now than anytime during Cold War I.

1, 2, and 3 are evidence towards what constitutes a neocon/neolib.

You don’t provide evidence that someone is a Putin supporter.

And you yourself are doing this and unjustifiably use their tactics like you are using in your post I’m responding to.

Good! Even the liberal Democrats are scared enough to want to build up our military forces. Now make plans to cut spending on public education and anti-family social programs.

“1, 2, and 3 are evidence towards what constitutes a neocon/neolib.”

Which just shows that you are selectively looking at facts that help make your case and ignoring lots of other relevant facts that don’t. That’s not really evidence of anything other than a preexisting bias on your part.

“You don’t provide evidence that someone is a Putin supporter.”

Why should I? You don’t provide any evidence that people who disagree with you actually are “neocon/neolib”. Those are actually defined ideologies, so to provide evidence that someone is one, you can’t just say “they don’t agree with me on these 3 points I selected with a certain bias in mind”. You would have to know their positions on a range of issues and show that they actually line up with the ideology you are accusing them of, which you didn’t do. So if you can call them names without evidence, it’s fair for them to call you names without evidence in return. Turnabout is fair play.

“And you yourself are doing this and unjustifiably use their tactics like you are using in your post I’m responding to.”

False. I didn’t call you any names at all. Nor did I “attack” your points. I simply pointed out hypocrisy.

“That’s OK, with China and Russia banding together, and clueless leftists running everything on our side, we’re going to need all the nukes we can get.”

That’s my thought too - why have a treaty with Russia when China already has nearly as many nukes as we both have combined.

So what? Russia’s been building hypersonic super duper ubernukes for years without caring if that has any impact on treaty obligations.

Just like it invaded Ukraine in defiance of multiple binding treaty obligations.

Putin doesn’t like to be constrained by treaty obligations, even when he’s the one who signed them. This step was inevitable, and amounts to nothing more than a diplomatic confirmation of what we already knew.
