I am curious if the reports of Russians massing air assets for a coming attack are true. Doubt the results will be much different than the last few weeks which have shown an uptick in air loses.
There are still plenty of manpads out there, coming in low and dropping dumb munitions may very well cost Russia dearly
More equipment and personnel (pilots are hard to replace) loses they can’t replace easily
Cruise missiles and stealth fighters attacking UKR air bases and other military targets. Actually, Ru doesn't have a stealth fighter.
Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) missions.
Air-to-Air Sweep missions.
Air-to-Ground Bombing missions (Fighter Bombers). Russia will not risk getting their Bombers shot down.
Close Air Support and Battlefield Air Interdiction missions as required by the ground war.
