Carmel High School, a public high school in Indiana, is the new hot topic after videos of the school’s endless area and amenities were uploaded on TikTok and eventually went viral. Netizens have thronged Twitter and other platforms to share their reactions.
The school’s DECA club took the TikTok audience on a tour of their school, where it was shown that Carmel offers a lot more than a typical public high school. They have more than one gym and cafeteria, which is unusual for any other school in Indianapolis to provide for their students. The school also has its own natatorium, i.g., an indoor swimming center and a wrestling room.
Spending in D.C. per student: more than twice that - $22,000 per student.
Hmm...
The Jr High in my town, built in 1969, has two Gyms. Is this unusual?
Test scores comparison per dollar spent would be interesting.
Whoever wrote this article didn’t get out much.
I went to HS in upstate NY, a dairy town. Our little Jr-Sr school had two gyms, natatorium and a wrestling ‘room’ and a weight room and a wood shop, metal shop and auto shop. All on a ‘sprawling’ campus due to how the school added on over the years. We also had three ball fields for soft and hardball and football. The soccer field was just off campus.
No. Big. Deal.
.
Nope. Not in my experiences.
Is this unusual?

It’s 2023 and it’s white people, so we begin with racism….
exactly, its not really that much about money, but how the money is spent.
poor schools often get tons of money they just waste it. Many poor schools often get MORE money than supposedly rich ones, but again they just blow it all.
It was relatively cheap to build in those days. Low regulation environment, much less legal risk and grifting.
Carmel, Indiana is a very wealthy exclusive area. Beautiful because they managed to rid themselves of the earlier roots that were less affluent. It is also known as snitty if you aren’t of their stature.
Years ago people who drove around there in hooptees were pulled over like they were criminals. Driving while poor. LOL
“I mean, it is impossible to get gang stomped. I feel we are being denied a true education”
More fled when the forced integration and bussing bullshit happened in the 80s and 90s.
Now a generation later, the children saved from Demoncrats have children in a clean, safe, large high school.
Way to go Carmel!
Schools are gold mines for local politicians of the ilk that Harry Truman warned US about.
If you count Latinos and Asians as "white", then every school should be 70% white. No problems I see. The only problem is when you send white kids to dindu nuffin schools-inner city, demoncrat-led, corrupt, violent, woke cesspools.
Get your kids FAR away from government/teacher union schools filled with ignorant and violent ghetto culture.
Why do the white kids get a school without graffiti and crime? /s
Years ago we used to have jokes about Carmel, Indiana.
Why does it take two Carmel housewives to change a lightbulb?
Because one screws in the lightbulb while the other mixes the martinis.
My high school was built in 1929. Has two gyms, a pool, football field, practice field, basement band center and firing range. I’m sure the firing range has been replaced by a comfort zone with ponies, stuffed animals and whatever. My graduating class was 1100 students.
Carmel High School, a public high school in Indiana, is the new hot victim of a class warfare attack from degenerates using the Chinese social media app TikTok.
Anyway, just making the point that my high school at the time was predominantly white working class. No blacks or hispanics to speak of. So the quality of our schools is not necessarily a "black vs white" thing.
I remember seeing the movie "The Breakfast Club" in 1985 and being gobsmacked with the modernity of the high school it was filmed in. Gleaming polished floors, a huge multilevel library, etc. I was still dating my wife at the time (before marriage) and we vowed to move out to the suburbs so that our own children would have such a school to go to.
And so we did. We paid through the nose on getting a house out there and then paying the taxes on it, but our children were able to get into a pretty decent school system.
By the way, there are plenty of very rich libtards in Carmel, Indiana.
