Disney’s brand took hit after hit last year, and 2023 is off to a similar start.
The Mouse House’s decision to inject itself into the Culture Wars sent its stock prices tumbling in 2022. The company’s animation wing also suffered from two high-profile duds – “Lightyear” and “Strange World.”
The company’s tactics can be seen in the new Salem Media feature, “Walt’s Disenchanted Kingdom” (NOTE: This reporter is featured in the documentary)
Disney is starting the new year on familiar footing.
Disney+ just unveiled season two of “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.” The animated reboot follows Penny Proud and her family, who are black. The show, according to Disney, addresses cultural issues along with the usual animated high jinks geared toward younger audiences.
One segment of the show’s “Juneteenth” episode is generating plenty of attention. The episode features a wall-to-wall Critical Race Theory-style sermonizing.
Here’s a peek at the dialogue in question:
“This country was built on slavery — which means slaves built this country”
“We the descendants of slaves in America have earned reparations for their suffering…and continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in a systemic prejudice, racism and white supremacy that America was founded with and still has not atoned for.”
The official clip from the episode in question turned off YouTube users’ ability to comment.
The right-leaning host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” shared her views without any Big Tech censors to stop her or show guest Jesse Kelly.
“This is a reflection of what our culture has become, a big bunch of grievance-mongering whiners … ‘America sucks because of this, it sucks because of that,'” said Kelly, a nationally syndicated radio show host.
Kelly couldn’t contain her anger at the parade of misinformation aimed at impressionable minds.
“This is absolute filth,” Kelly said.
Spielberg is doing the productions that Disney used to do. Disney is gone.

Is he? Spielberg is quite woke himself.
His movies, even the woke ones, are at least entertaining and interesting. Disney? Not when they dribble out this crap.
Interesting to see who Disney has been contributing to for President the last couple of elections.

Megyn is doing good work here and exposing the trans sickos.
E.T. was the last Spielberg film I saw. He’s too treacly for my taste.
Disney is 100% crap...
Empire of the Sun was treacly? Schindler’s List? Shaving Ryan’s Privates? Close Encounters? He has a recurring theme, and he serves it up in many different flavors: Boys lost in something enormous, which definitely works in children’s movies like ET or Goonies, but also in films for more mature audiences. Disney used to do the same with his recurring theme: Resurrection. Everybody dies and comes back to life, except for occasional bad guys who die for real. Or the hero almost dies but starts flying around even without the “magic feather”. Now, Disney has completely lost its way.
Woke Disney has turned into Joke Disney, and Walt is turning in his grave.
Even Walt would not visit his parks or watch any of Woke Disney’s TV shows or movies.
It should die and get buried, not any anywhere close to Disney, who was a decent man.
It’s time to thaw Walt Disney and let him clean up his company.
She seems to have wised-up. Maybe having to explain to her kids how boys can have periods did the trick.
Maybe WE conservatives can start a boycott of their movies?
I think I may have a pretty good name for it, too!
How about
HALT Disney??
Close Encounters were certainly soft. I didn’t see the others.
I can’t say I disagree with Megyn here.
Walt would be outraged and ashamed of the company that bears his name. Bring back the Disneys.
Let’s see Megyn speak out on stolen elections.
The last Disney flick I saw was Trolls, with two granddaughters and my youngest son. It was pretty good, honestly. But now our nest is empty, and Disney has gotten too big, swallowing up the Star Wars franchise and Marvel movies and series, and several TV channels. I’m informally boycotting everything but the classic Disney, such as Lady and the Tramp, Pinocchio, etc.
