The Russians have been occupying Transnistria, another Russian-backed separatist region, with “peacekeepers” since the 1992.
If that nation becomes firmly allied with Biden/EU/NATO and their perverse ideologies, I say let the Russians take it. Sovereignty is meaningless for nations that fall into their orbit.
Yes according to Wikipedia.

Thanks.
“Moldovans support their independence, but the reunion of Donhas and Crimes is a no-no even though the people don’t want to hear about Ukraine?”
If the tiny number of Russians in Crimea and the Donbass who voted to stay with Russia wanted to leave they could have. If they want to be in Russia there is an easy solution: move to Russia.
Moldovan is an entirely Romanian country. The same does not apply.
“That is never going to happen and would only be suggested by someone intent on setting the world on fire.”
It’s the reverse. It is definitely going to happen. A nation cannot survive with loyalists to an enemy state within their borders.
The only question is if the Russians will accept they are no longer welcome peacefully, or not. You are correct that if the Russians fight the world may burn.
The majority in the Donbas are ethnic Ukrainians, not ethnic Russians. Sham referendums administered by a foreign military occupying force have not legitimacy and cannot be takes seriously as a true representation of the opinions of the people of the Donbas.
The Minsk II accords, of which you are so fond, required OSCE-supervised elections conducted under Ukrainian law, but the Russians refused to allow them. Instead, they staged their own illegal elections in violation of Minsk II just three months after signing the accord.
How do we convince the Democrats to quit?
What makes Moldova a Romanian country? It has a longer history apart from Romania than Crimea as part of Ukraine.
The “tiny quantity of Russians” in Crimea are 90% of population who want it to be a part of Russia. At the same time, 49% of Moldovans are against the merger with Romania, according to Romanian pollsters.
There are international pollsters whobdisagree with this notion.
The more important question is, how much would the Democrats in the US government send to Moldova if the Russians did invade?
America is flooded with loyalists to an enemy state ...
Really? Please cite one international pollster that says that elections administered by a foreign military occupation force during wartime is valid.
More valid than Kosovo vote after the ethnic cleansing.

lol
Just a kind of funny story but the local McDonald’s franchise imported some Moldovans to work at their restaurants. The young women were very attractive. It didn’t last long, though. The Moldovans revolted. As poor a country as it is apparently their standards were higher than working at McDonald’s and the living arrangements McDonald’s provided them.
Yesterday:
“Kyiv intercepted and handed over to Chisinau the plan of the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in Moldova” - Zelensky
“We have received respective information from our Ukrainian partners” and identified “subversive activities, aimed to undermine the Republic of Moldova, destabilize and violate public order.” “At the moment, we cannot provide more details as there is a risk of jeopardizing various ongoing operational activities,” “We are working at full capacity and will not allow these challenges to happen.” - Moldova’s Intelligence and Security Service
What plans one need against the country which is run by a literal Manchurian candidate - a national of a foreign country seeking to annex yours, who only enjoys an approval rating in single digits?
