Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“Close combat in the streets of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine

Russian invaders are pushing from several directions simultaneously. Heavy fighting is underway on the eastern and southern outskirts of the city. Bakhmut holds.”

I believe the "Launcher-Loader Module Kit" is the HIMARS Launcher without the truck. Poland is putting them on the Polish Jelcz truck chassis. So still pretty close to 500 HIMARS. Poland is also buying/building K239 MLRS AND will be manufacturing the rockets in Poland. Consider that ROK designed the K239 MLRS to be compatible with HIMARS "PODS" and rockets, as well as ROK rockets. Vice-versa might be possible...

Poland
On 27 August 2022, Poland’s defense minister, Mariusz Błaszczak, said there are ongoing negotiations to acquire South Korea’s rocket artillery system. On 13 October 2022, Polish Armament Agency announced that the negotiations with South Korea to acquire nearly 300 K239 Chunmoo systems had been completed and the framework agreement will be signed on October 17.

Poland had originally intended to procure 500 American M142 HIMARS launchers, but such an order could not be fulfilled in a satisfactory timeline, so decision was made to split the HIMARS order into two stages, buying less of them and adding Chunmoo procurement; the first South Korean launchers are to be delivered in 2023.

A supply contract for 288 Chunmoo MLRS mounted on Jelcz 8x8 chassis and equipped with Polish TOPAZ Integrated Combat Management System along with 23 thousand missiles with the range of 80 and 290 kilometers was signed in Poland on October 19, 2022.

I think this is a prime example of why the Russian invasion failed and continues to fail and Russia would quickly lose in a direct conquest with western forces.

The Russians have no equivalent to western air power. Those US soldiers would have been overrun (no disrespect to them) if it were not for AirPower. That is western doctrine. There is a reason we don’t have 7000 artillery pieces we use air power. Was proved in Iraq and Afghanistan time and time again. When serving with an A-10 unit in Afghanistan insane the results daily. One guided bomb or a brrrrrrrrp of 30mm is worth 100 artillery shells

If Russia had the CAS or strategic bombing capabilities then this war would have been over in days or weeks.

Give Ukraine capabable aircraft and the munitions to go with them and the Russian invasion is over, probably not the war that will only end when Russia decides to end it….

When I was in the Qatar many years ago they military sponsored different tours and one was downtown basically a shopping tour and even back then I noticed all these new constructions like the mall we went to already had cracks in the concrete
And in Turkey the construction techniques sure looked dubious to me

Not sure I agree with this assesment
As the saying goes quantity has a quality of its own
Leopard 1s are fine tanks, more t-72s Ukrainians know how to use them and will fill out brigades, and the polish 91 is a decent tank
Add western IFVs and APCs and you have a decent fighting force

The opposite is to not have them at all and which is worse. I get it leopard 2s are better but these will do
Certainly better than the t-62s Russia is pulling out of boneyards and Ukrainians t-64s

Germany has just agreed to begin giving the UA Leopard 2A6s beginning in March; meanwhile UA tankers have been training on them so they can use them right away.

Have Leo 1s ever been used in combat? In any case, they are no match for T-90Ms.

Good info. I stand corrected. Thanks!

Milestone on Oryx reporting - out of the total Russian tank losses, those they have visually confirmed to have been destroyed has just passed 1,000.

No they are not but they are for T-72s, any bmp plus their guns a fine on emplacements fortifications and human wave attacks
Which is better no leopard 1s or 178
Imagine Ukrainians will take them better than t-64s
Just my opinion
As to T -90m. How many game we seen and Excalibur nlaws and javelins can handle them
Also imagine Ukrainians will retrofit reactive armor they are good at that
