Trump picked a few good people sometimes. Like Mike Pompeo.
Mike agreed with Trump on Trump’s objectives and turned the CIA, and later the State Dep to either delivering on those objectives as their Constitutional mission to follow the direction of the ELECTED government, no some other objective of their own and get out of the way or be sidelined when they cannot do that. Mike took many of Trump’s objectives, in Mike’s duties, out of the hands of the CIA and State Dep bureaucrats and sometimes removed them altogether from a role in what he was doing, like in some of the Middle East and Asian policy items.
Yes. Mike did not see Trump as perfect and did not always agree with Trump’s personal manner and approach. But Mike did not allow that to change the fact that his role and duty was to what Trump wanted done, as Trump was the one elected to be President, not Mike Pompeo. You don’t get that kind of professional dedication from some big egos.
