LBJ’s Great Society was an outflanking plan to negate MLK’s influence over “people of color” in this country.
Send money to buy people off funneled through politicians.
Remember the scene in “The Right Stuff” where they have the extravaganza complete with UTexas cheerleaders opening the NASA Space Center. It has then then Vice President LBJ saying “Lookie Lookie What I brought you!”. I don’t know how historic that scene was, but I thought it captured the “LBJ Way” well!
(It’s also the way of almost every professional politician!)
The moral shallowness of our politicians bribing us with our money and somehow, we don’t see it!
