Yeah...huge difference from “not found” to “we KNOW there are none”. We know he had them, we know he hadn’t destroyed them all, he kicked out the U.N. inspectors. The only default position you can have is that he still had some...and they could be buried anywhere.

Maybe I’m one of the few but I believe Saddam and sons were pure evil that made an entire country a prison of fear & torture, where exporting terrorism was core business. For me, 9/11 changed what was tolerable - disposing of the worlds worst evil isn’t something I regret. ...trying to engage in nation building, especially in an Islamic state, is a fools errand however.

Excellent. When we went into Afghanistan, many evildoers fled to Iran and....yes....to Iraq. Hussein welcomed them with open arms, and armed them he did.” AL Queda in Iraq” became an entity to deal with. Hussein welcomed evil.

I always remember when the talking heads would repeat that the USA would have difficulty in Iraq because Iraq had the latest Russian equipment. Well, it didn’t stop us much. I also remember the faces of the young pilots in the F-117 stealth aircraft. The F-117 had not really been tested in serious combat. Everyone remembers the night-time images of Iraq’s air defenses just shooting blind into the night sky. Iraq could not ‘see’ the F-117 on radar. The faces of the young pilots, before they flew into Iraq and Baghdad, were of highly trained, almost so young you could call them boys. The looks on their faces when they returned, boys had become men.
