I don’t think DeSantis is petty enough to be concerned about this comment, and he in fact may agree it’s true. He’s said as much before... that he will not run if Trump runs.

He has never said that.
Prior to the election, he dismissed talk of running for president by saying he was focused on his governor race, a prudent move at the time as Crist would've used any presidential aspirations against him.
Meadows said DeSantis wouldn’t run against Trump, DeSantis never said that. Whose they? The only one picking a fight is Trp and so far DeSantis has not taken the bait.
