Boeing has been an utterly corrupt company for decades. Their answer to Airbus competition and innovation was to cut engineering corners. In the past 50 years, the B-757 and B-777 were the only good products that Boeing has come out with - everything else has been suspect to one degree or another.
Pfizer and Boeing should get a room.

Anyone doubting that should search for the 2 female whistleblowers re 737 airframe defects and find the video outlining how specifications for airframe components to be “CNC-made” were hand fabricated and later literally hammered/reamed to fit on their assembly lines.
The McDonnel-Douglas deal should have been their death Nell, but it seems we’re propping up a company which should have come under Congressional & regulatory scrutiny, not granted the ability to craft its own certification standards (as they were granted by FAA for the 737MAX).
And I’m not even going to get into the wiring problems. Someday I should finish my article...
