Re the gas turbine engine: Itself, is usually not at risk to be a “blown engine” - when maintained well enough.

But, what the engine drives: gearboxes / transmission, can be vulnerable: “- blown pack.”

M-1 Tanks Will Be A Giant Pain To Maintain


Take Forbes word for it if you trust non-military to tell you anything about military things. Use reputable military sites if you want to learn anything or ask your friendly tanker NCO.

According to some military people who operated M1s they are not all that difficult to maintain and easier than others like the Leopard MBTs.

So look here: even the Saudis - arguably the worst army in the world - maintains them, not to mention the Iraqis. The UA will have no problem.
