You don’t know Pompeo and you don’t know what you’re talking about. Pompeo knew what the folks at State and the CIA were like, and in his job he trusted very few of them. He went around both agencies in handling Trump’s foreign policy initiatives, getting Trump appointed special operators and envoys to do the real work while he tied the hands at the CIA and State to not interfere. All the Middle East and Asian initiatives were handled by he and Trump that way.
