Is that the case — or will he still be protecting Trump?

It is the job of a Chief Executive to put the pieces in place to allow experts in a given endeavor to achieve a given goal as quickly and effectively as possible.

The goal at the time in April of 2020 was to develop a safe and effective vaccine in the shortest time possible. That was what “Operation Warp Speed” was set up to do.

Leftists believe that a Chief Executive must know every detail of every single project, past, present, and future, controlling every aspect of every issue to the most granular detail. It explains why they want to micromanage everything from the Vietnam War to the environment. Their poster boys are the likes of “policy wonks” such as Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

In contrast, Conservatives believe that a Chief Executive must task the best qualified personnel to do the tasks and provide them with the tools to achieve their goals. Our poster boys are the likes of Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

Trump was not and is not an expert in Immunology and was absolutely justified in leaving the details of the project in the hands of those who WERE ostensible “experts” in the field and would only intervene directly in the event there arose obstacles that could not be surmounted in a timely fashion. Trump, on the advice of ostensible “experts” built a team to do just that with “Operation Warp Speed” with the express goal of developing a safe and effective vaccine in the shortest time possible.

That was Trump’s job to do as the Chief Executive, and he did that part admirably.

Those “experts” lied to him. They produced a fraudulent solution that was neither safe nor effective, but served the purpose to line the pockets of people with government supplied money and generate political material to politically advance the goals of those who were not concerned with the actual goal of “creating a safe and effective vaccine in the shortest time possible”.

As for the link you provided, I did not see anything wrong with Dr. Ronny Jackson’s statement. Instead of mandates (a Leftist construct) the decision to accept or reject the administration of this faulty vaccine should have been an individual choice, made by individuals who perform their own risk analysis and choose what is best for them, instead of having the choice forced on them at the point of a gun, even if that gun is one that is aimed at a person’s business, education, or livelihood, which is exactly what was done.
