For decades I did reparations-type calculations for lawyers. The purpose of such payments it to leave the injured party in a position of financial indifference. That’s done using the next best alternative. Many of the original slaves came from Angola and the Congo. The amount of reparations should be the difference between what blacks earn in the US compared to what they would earn had they stayed in Africa. I did the math for 150+ years and it turns out blacks owe whites just over $640,000 each.
