Kazan is the name of a city in RuZZia.

Is that where you live?

Remember all those Spetsnaz videos on youtube showing them mastering cartoonish action film-type stunts?

They should have spent more time mastering military skills.

If it weren’t so serious a person might almost utter, “why that little scamp”.

“Any guess as to how accurate a tank would be at indirect fire?”

Sorry,I have no experience with that, and have nothing of value to contribute. Technically, it seems quite straight forward and solvable

“If the tank’s target has counter-battery radar close by, I am confident it would track a tank round as easily as an artillery round. Agree or disagree?”

Agree. There are systems fielded that will identify snipers’ positions, by calculating the path of their bullets - much less tank rounds.

The 5th of February is looming, and with it, a new ban on the import of refined petroleum products into the EU, as well as a price cap on those products to other customers.

The similar 5 Dec ban and cap on seaborne crude, reduced Russia’s daily gross revenue on crude from around $300 Miilion to around $200 Million - around 1/3.

The logistics of refined product sales are more challenging, because it requires many more ships, for smaller quantities of many types of refined products. Other major customers like India and China have shown little interest in refined products from Russia, as it is cheaper for them to refine their own. More than half of Russia’s refined products still go to the EU.

Bottom line: February 5th sanctions seem likely to take a bigger slice from a smaller pie - around half of what is now a daily gross revenue around $100 Million.
