Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Moldovan foreign minister: Ukraine’s victory could lead to Russia’s exit from Transnistria.

And Moldova's unification with Romania?

COMPROMISED? This hirsute young politico is Olaf Scholz. In the 80’s, Scholz was a self-identified Marxist. The DDR (East Germany) then regarded him as an ‘important ally in the struggle against NATO’. Scholz is now the principal stumbling block to providing armor to Ukraine.

Some military aid was announced behind closed doors at the Ramstein summit held on Jan. 20, an outcome Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov called “very inspiring” in comments to the Voice of America on Jan. 21.

I wish she would purchase 1000 GLSDBs for the Finnish Army with a provision from US Government that any or all could be shipped to Ukraine.

Just saying but ...
Finland tanks:

Leopard 2A4: 139
Leopard 2A6: 100

The vast majority of the 2A4 tanks were acquired used from Germany between 2002 and 2004; more were purchased in 2009.

Some of the existing Leopard 2A4’s are equipped with Israeli made Urdan mine rollers.

Fire-control systems of all vehicles will be upgraded between 2022 and 2026.

Since none but test models exist, it might take a while.

“Ukraine confirms Russian offensive attempts in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.”

“In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, over 25 settlements came under artillery fire during the past 24 hours, the General Staff added.

On Jan. 21, Russia’s Defense Ministry said its troops had attempted to advance in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.”

Thing about static defenses is that you have Roman them all to be remotely effective but the assaulting group Only has to penetrate one area and the rest is worthless
Russians like defense in depth but do they have the manpower and the skill level to do that
I think most mobiks will surrender or run
We will see, but tossup between sand trenches in Crimea and the baby dragons teeth set on the ground with handles to move them or just drive over as videos have shown

Since none but test models exist, it might take a while.

The M26 rocket motors and GBU-39 exist in significant quantity. I doubt the electro-mechanical interface is particularly complex or difficult to manufacture. It was developed and tested a decade ago. Normally it would take time to go through contracting and procurement, but this case isn't "normal". Also, the President of Saab announced in October that a GLSDB purchase contract was "imminent", so it's already been a few months...

It will take a while.

GLSDB needs a launch customer. Boeing and SAAB are not going to go "at risk".

SDB is a fielded munition. The rocket motor comes from a fielded munition. Development and fielding the GLSDB can be shortened by leveraging the technical data from the SDB and the rocket motor.

PDR and CDR could be combined. Same for DT&E and OT&E.

I hate to repeat myself, this all depends of finding a launch customer.

"this GLSDB) all depends of finding a launch customer."

Maybe they will order them in secret, so they hit the battlefield unexpectedly.

Saab soon expects the first contract for the new GLSDB artillery weapon

I suspect if there is a delay, it will be due to interference by Lockheed Martin, who makes both the M142 HIMARS that would launch the GLSDB and the GMLRS/GMLRS-ER rockets that the GLSDB would be directly competing with.

On This Day in 2021, European Court of Human Rights found Russia guilty of ethnic cleansing of Georgian civilians in 2008 war & widespread, deliberate:

-Killing of civilians

-Torture

-Burnings

-Evictions (i.e."crimes against humanity").

Imagine EU leaders knowing this & still appeasing us
