IMHO, if Leopard 2s were required for defense then they would already be approved.
There is a whole lot of political gymnastics going on that have nothing to do with needs on the ground. Like “neutral” countries who supply arms to other nations but then say those arms can’t be sent to Ukraine…..
Turkey is supplying large quantities of equipment and munitions but is still playing the NATO card to get f-16s or f-35s
Hungary well that is an interesting bunch
And Germany who knows, hopefully Poland will tell Germany to pound bratwurst since they are buying stuff from US and Korea
