Not really a new idea. I seem to recall this documentary about one from the '60s...

First thing I thought of. Another wonderful day in The Village.

They used to fine people for leaving Mayberry?

You might want to bone up on what a “Smart City” is.

A little of what you say is true but quiet a bit is wrong. You must apply for fire certificate no matter who you are. There are different classes of certificate for shotguns, rifles and even certain classes of pistols. You must belong to a club or have hunuing rights on property where hunting is allowed. Pistols can be owned but only under strict conditions and must be kept at the range. Shotguns & rifles can be kept at home but must be kept in certified safes which must be secured to studing, flooring, ir brick/block structure. Semi-auto rifles in any caliber except 22lr are forbidden. You can have falling block, bolt, and lever actions. Semi-auto rifles were allowed in pistol calibers but had to be modified to auto-ejecting only with manual bolt release. These are now being withdrawn. Large bore target shooting is still active in 5.56, 7.62, and (suprise) .303. 50 BMG ownership is being rescinded. Certification is through regional police authorities usually at the county or shire level. This is the current state. Black powder rifles and pistols are allowed on the full certification.

This is more like the layouts the soviets had.

They dont imitate anything American. They love socialism. This is behind soviet style area layouts.

They did this so no one would need cars. Not like average soviets could afford one, but thats what is behind this.

Agenda 21 socialist bs.

I wonder how many people who attended Ocford came up with these ideas? I am just about finished with Sowell’s “Vision of the Anointed” audio book. Explains this insanity better than I ever could.

15 minutes (on foot) gets me to two grocery stores, two drug stores, a major hospital, multiple schools (at least six), multiple churches, the parish courthouse, the public library, and a very nice park. Also my voting place, and multiple fine bars and restaurants.

No church in 15-minute cities?

Here’s the WEF article where the graph comes from. There is nothing there about being restricted. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/03/15-minute-city-stickiness/

JSM_Liberty April 2022

Anyone on FR giving any type of support for this horror should automatically be suspect as a WEF globalist shill

Oh of course, we can trust the WEF, they LOVE us and CARE about us. They would never restrict out freedom. Lets support these prison, oops I mean 15 minute cities!

That’s not what I stated. You doom and gloomers won’t be happy until everyone is as fearful and paranoid as you are.
I’ve kept my eye on the WEF for at least a decade and what folks are doing is taking facts and creating a narrative that has no supportive evidence.
These neighborhoods are the same as us older folks grew up in. Maybe a sawmill first, then employees, houses are built close, more women and children come and now you have churches, grocery stores and parks. You could walk to town.
As for eating bugs, unless youre a farm animal or a starving kid in Africa you won’t be eating bugs, unless you’re into that and put meal worm protein powder in your morning shake.
In 10 years they’ve talked about these ideas and we aren’t eating bugs or living in prisons or being starved to death.
It might behoove you to read the site. There is a lot of 🦇💩 crazy things some members toss out as solutions that go nowhere. There are also solutions that are to the right of AOC, by a fair amount.
If you want to live in a world where any moment doom can befall you, be my guest. I got one ride and I’m not wasting it worrying about nonsense.

For your next trick, buy a week’s worth of groceries and carry them home. Alone. And feel like going to any of those other places afterwards.

You noticed that too?

Maybe they’ll have some “inter-faith” building full of bamboo trees, filtered ponds, and some granite slabs?

I exaggerated with the doggie park comment. We actually have businesses galore out the back of the neighborhood...all available within a 15-30 minute walk from the house. There's even a hospital at around 25 minutes walking-distance (daughter works there). Driving gets us into that area within a few minutes. Driving 15 minutes gets us a ton of businesses. Walking out the front of the neighborhood yields nothing for 30 minutes of walking. A doggie park is still a 25 minute drive from the house though. LOL

Seriously, if they want to carve up my city into 15-minute segments, they'd better install walls along the border lines. There's a population here that would constantly be violating the segment lines...and even firing on any guards trying to enforce the limits. (Think ethnic...and I'd support them.)

With an electric vehicle mandate/an electric vehicle purchase-by-choice, personal travel outside that 1 mile circle can be enforced with a single command to the EV computer.

Method.
Motive.
Opportunity.
And no Morals to prevent the Manipulation.
