Already seeing T shirts being marketed out of this, with Jesus Saves on the front and the Co-Exist logo—with a line through it—on the back (plus “Jesus is the only way”)
(tshirtsatlowprice):
>>has gone viral on the Internet after a security guard in the Mall of America asked a black man in a t-shirt that said “Jesus Saves” to leave the mall because of his shirt
If I were to wear one, I would have ‘Jesus Saves” printed on both sides. To be honest, having the rest: Co-Exist bla, blah shown as crossed out is plainly the display of a rejection. That is his right to reject. I don’t argue with that part.
The shirt as is would be enough for some of the Alphabet Folks to glom onto, saying my T-Shirt was not really about Jesus Christ, but actually a mobile sandwich board, of rejection for certain groups of people. This is how they think. I don’t agree with it, but I would prefer to have my message a clear and simple one. The objection to that T-Shirt may not have been about Jesus Christ at all.
