So McCarthy is a patriot now. And the house has “power”. And what would THAT be? The Repubs gave us that 1.7 billion travesty and took away the power of the purse from the House until 2024. Investigations? Go ahead, demand Fauci show up, the FBI or CDC or Bidens produce documents. When they laugh and flip you the finger what ya gonna do? Send a referral to Merrick Garland?
What else they gonna do? Pass laws that have zero chance of Senate and Biden approval? Send over articles of impeachment that the Dem Senate will dispose of in an hour with an up or down vote?
Might as well have fun, all the GOP house is good for is as a place holder to prevent dems from advancing new bills.
I noted the small America First minority showed power, not commenting on the fullness of the House’s power.
The swamp has had to make concessions to a small minority in this new Congress..
Once a Speaker is seated, we’ll see what happens..
If it’s McCarthy, there’s a small minority currently that has him checking in with them for their vote from the start.
If there has to be any quid pro quo for votes, may it be under the America/Americans First banner and not swamp/swamp families first..
