LOL. You bring to mind my last German Shepherd and our old doggie neighbors.

My last (extremely allergic all her life) GS was a very mild, kindly, happy dog, and kind of stupid (in some ways) dog. Didn’t have much guardianship in her brain.

So, people could come right up to our house and she had no clue - until a knock, etc. Then she might get excited.

Meanwhile, across the cul-de-sac was a family with 2 litter-brother Labradors. The chocolate was the stereotypical dopey dog. But his brother, the yellow, was “dog aggressive” so she didn’t let him out, and you could hear him bark alot.

So, when people would knock on our door, all the way across the street, a Labrador would viciously bark while our dumb German Shepherd was caught unawares!

It was hysterical!

That was funny.

I owned labs and loved them. GS, but I was afraid he would hurt someone and had to find a home in the country for him. He was an alpha male. I would pet any lab and most GS on sight. I like pit bulls, but I would never pet one unless the owner told me it was ok. Probably should not anyway, but I just like them too much. As for little yapping dogs, let me just say I have learned to keep my hands to myself.😉
