SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — After experiencing an atmospheric river that soaked Northern California New Year's weekend, Bay Area residents prepared for another, even stronger storm system set to arrive Wednesday that weather forecasters warn could have catastrophic impacts.
(Snip)
"To put it simply, this will likely be one of the most impactful systems on a widespread scale that this meteorologist has seen in a long while," the statement read. "The impacts will include widespread flooding, roads washing out, hillside collapsing, trees down (potentially full groves), widespread power outages, immediate disruption to commerce, and the worst of all, likely loss of human life. This is truly a brutal system that we are looking at and needs to be taken seriously."

Perhaps the Sierras get eight feet of snow?
The entire state of California could be underwater, and they would still say there’s a drought.
The snowpack and reservoir levels have to be increasing.
Let’s hope it continues 2 more months
Don’t know the guys name but some outfit called Quake Predictions, with the sub title of “Signal Just Hit”
His prediction was 1/02 to 1/03.
Very poor timing if the storm and quake hit simultaneously.
Someone else is gunna get hammered in SF?
There is a lot of human feces to flush out of San Francisco.
>>widespread power outages, immediate disruption to commerce, and the worst of all, likely loss of human life.<<
Not to worry. We got out windmills and solar panels to keep us warm.
Oh boy! Guess we can’t get snowed in any more than we are now.
The San Francisco Shit Storm of 2023.
Worst of all, fentanyl prices increase!
Are you sure she's a virgin? Gaia prefers crispy virgins.
Virgin, Smirgin, just sacrifice her to the volcano.
What are all the people crying about a drought the past decade going to use as their new talking point? I always told these folks California is next to an ocean, how can you have a drought, for crying out loud. But they refused to build desalination plants.
Couldn’t agree more! California has had DECADES to build desalinization plants, water storage, and energy production facilities. Without missing a beat, Democrats have, and continue to, squandered billions for social crap.
I’m sure the Biden’s huge budget includes such expenses...- sarcasm on.
I could not find the word “impactful” in my (dead tree) Webster’s Dictionary. Why not just say high-impact instead?
Then I guess it must be true. By all means, refuse to believe your lyin’ eyes.
