I agree McCarthy is just more of the same - a milquetoast at best and probably a full fledged RINO.

But these leadership picks are NOT the hill to die on in the battle for the soul of the Republican Party.

The Republican Congress is probably 4/5 RINO or more. Same with the Senate. That, my friends is where the battle is. We need to vote the RINOs out and elect MAGA representatives and senators.

When the majority of Republicans representing us are MAGA patriots, I guarantee we will get MAGA leadership and committee chairs - not before.

It’s just silly to think a handful of MAGA congressmen will get to dictate who is Speaker.

Actually, it’s worse than silly - it’s destructive. We are being played by the other side. Republicans have a slight majority if we are united, but split in half, no one has a majority - and the Democrats have a plurality.

I don’t care if he is not pro trump...I want leaders who are Pro America. Trump is not America...he is one American...WE are America and the politicians need to be reminded of that. What WE want is what’s important. Not what some politician tells us we want or tries to fool us into voting for them because they spout some nonsense they think will get them votes.

We all have a pretty good idea of the problems facing this country. What many of us want is someone who has a PLAN to try and address those problems. Not someone who just bloviates about the problems but doesn’t gives us a solid plan on how to fix those problems. Screaming maga over and over isn’t a solution...great idea but a real plan is needed. And so far I just see and hear more of the same old political rhetoric.

It comes down to the fact that Congress will or will not address the problems. We could elect someone from this site who might have some good ideas. But if they can’t work with the politicians in Congress then they will fail at getting anything done. Politics is the art of the possible. Nobody gets everything in life they want...and our politics are no different.

"I want leaders who are Pro America."

Has he proven that he is? What has he done to prove that to you? Was it his voting to send $40 billion to Ukraine back in May? Or was it his voting with Democrats on H.R. 3005 to remove historical monuments from the U.S. Capitol Building? Or was it his being ranked 2nd most politically left compared to House Republicans in the 116th Congress? Or was it Paul Ryan endorsing him for Speaker? That he's already stated publicly that there will be no impeachment of Biden? That he lied about recommending President Trump resign after January 6th? That he spent millions to defeat Trump endorsed Conservatives? That he's pushed Rino Tim Scott (R-S.C.) for President? That he voted Yes on H R 1044 that would give 300,000 Indian contract workers green cards to come to America and take jobs away from Americans?

Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s 2020 Report Card

“Maybe he is for the Ronna Romney-run GOP. “

He has endorsed her for Chair.

"He has endorsed her for Chair."

So has Trump, which although I love the guy, isn't saying much for Trump. He's a glutton for punishment.

“Jordan doesn’t want it.”

He SAYS he doesn’t want it. He has to. If he openly puts himself in the running there’ll be hell to pay when/if McCarthy wins.

I’d be OK with Gaetz. He’s ruthless, like Pelosi.

Agree.

We are so screwed. Does Trump not learn from his mistakes?

McCarthy isn’t ideal, but he’s the best we have at the moment. If folks want someone better, you need more like-minded candidates to win races. It’s why we’re sitting here with another term of McConnell.

If people want change, they have to make change happen. Meantime, we have business to attend to, and we’re not going to get that with a Democrat-selected leader because certain Republicans want a purity test when they don’t have the votes to support one…

Jordan is a legal beagle and wants to serve in that capacity. Saw a great NEW video hitting on both points....what he wants to do...and supporting McCarthy.

Anything’s possible. Long ago (2020) I gave up trying to make sense of things in this world.

I’ll make this simple for you mass....I don’t support McCarthy, or any other doofus Congressman who think they can be Speaker. And I won’t until I hear what they are going to do FOR America. As of now he hasn’t proven he is pro America...which is what my comments were about.

And honestly mass I really don’t care who Trump endorsed. If people only voted for someone Trump endorsed and didn’t vote for them because of what they stood for or what they articulated as their vision for America...then that tells me they are unthinking sheep and not informed voters. And we have enough uninformed voters as it is...

I try to be very specific as to what I am trying to convey in my comments. And I sure as he** wasn’t claiming I thought McCarthy was pro America.

Thanks for the clarification. My first impression was that you were defending McCarthy, and alluding that he was pro-America. Sorry if I misinterpreted or took your comment for something other than you meant.

I'm sick of the GOP. That's why I changed my 40+ year registration to No Party after January 6th. The Republican Party doesn't deserve my membership. They have proven to me that they don't respect me enough to even try to protect my ballot from voter fraud. The only time the party knows you is when they want something from you...your money, and your vote. The rest of the time they ignore you, and kick you in the teeth by selling you down the river until the next election cycle rolls around. Then they come sniffing around again, looking to get something from you again.

I’ve been very disappointed by a few people the establishment have apparently been able to buy off fairly cheaply

Posting a negative thread does nothing positive for the party or the people.

Constantly putting the same Establishment RINOs in charge does nothing for the party or the people, either.

I really thought we'd manage to fix some stuff when Boehner got the boot, but alas, they fizzled just as fast as it flared up.
