PING!
John McCain hired Woolsey as an advisor on energy and climate change issues for his 2008 U.S. presidential election campaign.
Ironic?

Pictured a man hungry for power and the one man with the most to gain by JKF’s death.
O'Neill prayed that it wouldn't lead him down the JFK assassination rabbit hole but that is exactly what happened.
His body language might have only meant that he was highly excited and nervous.
This was one of the biggest stories in American history. A BFD as Biden would have said.
known fact .. you get shot from the back, your body goes FORWARD. you get shot from the front, your body goes BACKWARD.
Bullet throgh the upper torso from the rear, Kennedy moved forward.
Bullet into the head, Kennedy moved backward. Also noted rear of head had exploded, never happens with entry wounds.
I would be nervous too if I told such a LAUGHABLE lie.

O’Neill book.
You’ll never guess, in a million years, the name of the psychologist who interviewed Jack Ruby in his cell.
Really. Just guess.
Manson and his entourage for a while lived literally right around the corner to the “Free Clinic” in the Haight. The girls were frequent fliers there on account of all the STDs.
The “Summer of Love” after all, was followed quickly by the “Autumn of Syphilus and Gonorrhea”.
They definitely dosed California with massive amounts of L.S.D., it wasn’t made illegal until 1966 - I believe a guy named Owsley was the chief purveyor. Another shadowy individual named Ronald Stark was responsible for a later variant called “Orange Sunshine”. Possibly a state sponsored individual.
Going back farther, at one time in the 1950s the CIA proposed purchasing the world’s entire supply, ostensibly to keep it out of the hands of the Soviets.
They made a movie called “MK Ultra” but it was crap. Perhaps one day they will make a really good movie on this subject.
It would appear that the primary enemy the various intelligence agencies are fighting is no longer foreign adversaries but rather the US general public. “Deception is the heart of warfare.” - Sun Tzu
My “spidey sense” always pinged when I read about the Church Commission in the 1970s. Frank Church was a Senator from Idaho. A Democrat, maybe that wasn’t so bad in 1970.
But in keeping with other government “investigations” over the years, I can’t help but wonder if it was more of a cleanup operation. Of course I’m naïve, that’s naturally what it was. There was a fair bit of revelatory information about government spook activities from the 1940s theu the 1970s.
And for their part, the agency heads said “Mistakes were made, we’re really sorry, and we’ll never do it again.” After they conveniently burned all the records.
They’ve been doing that since when, you think? 1930s? 1920s?
They don’t feel the need to hide it any longer, is the only difference.
Btw, Oswald doesn’t look particularly remorseful in that picture, by the way. Nor too concerned that, despite his statements, that he is being railroaded as a “patsy”.
In fact, while I’m no mind reader, he looks to me pretty damn well pleased with himself. Funny, that.
He spent 2.5 days in the custody of the Dallas PD. Were tape recorders used, o have any the interrogation notes ever been released as transcripts?
Funny that. I have read that he was combative and not very cooperative, and tried to contact some communist attorney in NY, but that’s about it.
The assassination attempt that I’ve always wondered about is that of George Wallace in 1972. While Wallace was not killed, he was crippled, and he was never a contender for the Presidency thereafter.
I attended one of his speeches in ‘64, and he was a spell-binding orator. Better than Trump, at public speaking.
In Disinformation Pacepa exposes how the Soviets spread lies in obscure places that then got picked up by mass media. A major example was how the commies turned a WWII pope from anti-Nazi to pro-Nazi.
When reading the section on Oswald, you get the ironic thought “Is this disinformation in a book on disinformation?”
Pacepa’s explanation for Oswald seemed outlandish, but more credible than other theories.
I should add that Pacepa credited Oswald with providing the exact height at which U-2 spy planes flew over Russia. This occurred when Oswald worked at a radar station near the Pacific Ocean. This information was required do that one could be shot down. This makes Oswald a “Forest Gump” involved in not just one, but two high-level international incidents.
In writing this, I see an explanation for the “Why?” of this story. I think Pacepa became a CIA asset. What better way for the CIA to deflect blame for killing JFK by a credible explanation that the Soviets created the “CIA did it” as a cover for their own responsibility.
