Yup. 2 years worth of stonewalling is what we’re going to get. They corrupt are in charge and they have no intention of relinquishing any of their power.

Were I the GOP Congress I’d respond by telling the Biden Regime that we have no plans at this time to respond to any of their budget requests.

No, you wouldn't.

That will be True Tyranny, as he will not have any limits.

As a post-Christian society, we will deserve everything that's coming. A republican form of government can not endure when a majority of the people have no morals. The best we can hope for is a benign autocracy.

What would be the endgame? The GOP committee members will use it as a fund-raising exercise; other than that, it will be a massive waste of time (and money).

After that 1.7 trillion dollar fiasco? No. They signed away their power of the purse for a year or more.

“Doesn’t the House have the power of the purse?”

Normally yes, but McConnell and 17 other GOP senators passed the $1.7trillion Omnibus last week, funding the governemnt and every pet project imaginable through 2023, so the new House will not get a crack at their budget negotiations until Q4 2023.

Gotta love that controlled-opposition.

I’m sorry, the WH is under no obligation to respond to requests now from a Congress that will not be seated until next week. Now, what happens when the new Congress is seated, why we’ll just have to wait and see.

A part of me would like to see the new Speaker appoint a committee to investigate the Biden family and specifically not allowing the democrat leadership have any say in the appointments. Make it so that witnesses are not subject to cross examination. Any who don’t respond to committee subpoenas would be charged with contempt of Congress—not that DOJ would prosecute.

A sort of sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander kind of thing. Compare and contrast media coverage...

There is the Holman Rule that two GOP Congressmen say they are going to use once the GOP takes control of the House.
It just takes a simple House majority to invoke the Senate has no role.

“That’s right. The Dems have everything in place to insure they never again lose control and power. That goes for both the Legislative and Executive branches.”

Don’t forget tens of billions of our taxpayer dollars sent to Ukraine, that they can recall at ANY time through their boy Zelensky and some shadowy international banker or crypto-fraudster, well into the foreseeable future.

How much money did McConnell get from FTX?

The Dims do not want their VP to become President, so if Biden fails to respond to Republican demands, they should impeach Biden.

Everyone understands that the Senate will never convict, but the threat might cause the Dims to make stupid mistakes in response.

They’ll start working on it around 12/1, just in time for another “looming shutdown” that has to be avoided.

This is why I am hoping that Steve Scalise becomes the next speaker.

Not anymore. The current GOP gave away that power by passing the “ominous bill”. It is being flown to St. Croix for FJB’s signature even as we speak.

So you’re a patriot of the navy that flew an observation plane over the USS Catfish (SS-339)?

/s (-;

That’s a very old submarine! It also did an awful lot of Cold War duty against Russia. How did you come to be so supportive of Russia?
