On an unknown date around the 560s
B.C.E. BC, the storyteller Aesop is supposed to have been executed in Delphi by being hurled from the Hyampeia rock...
Supposed to have lived from the late 7th to mid 6th centuries B.C.E. BC, Aesop is first referenced by history’s first historian, Herodotus.

Exactly. I stop reading/listening when “B.C.E.” or “Common Era” is used.

Someone else gave me a solution to their renaming it: B.C.E. = Before Christ Era; C.E. = Christ Era.
Annoying, but it works for me (and it will p!ss off the wokesters 😉).

I translate BCE to “Before Christ Enters” in my mind just to tweak the libs who made this “change” to the vernacular.

(Who knew that in 2022 "1984", "Enemy of the State", and "Person of Interest" would be non-fiction?)
